A strong relationship changes how they learn

When your child has a tutor who takes the time to really get to know them and earn their trust, they become more willing to ask questions and say when something doesn't make sense. Learning feels more enjoyable and relevant, building confidence where it's needed and encouraging them to challenge themselves and aim higher academically.

More than the lesson itself

Membership means more than regular one-to-one lessons. It means a carefully chosen tutor who gets to know your child, backed by an academic team that's there for both of you.

The right tutor from our team

We take the time to understand your child and what you're looking for, then choose the tutor from our team we believe is best suited to them.

Someone who really gets to know them

Regular sessions give your child's tutor time to really get to know them. As that relationship develops, so does their understanding of how best to support them.

Getting started

A thoughtful match, from the very first conversation.

Tell us about your child

We want to understand more than the subject or subjects they need support with. Tell us about your child, what they're like, what they enjoy and what you'd like them to achieve through tutoring.

We consider the right tutor

We use what you've told us, alongside your child's academic needs, to decide which of our tutors we think will suit them best. If they need support across more than one subject, we'll also consider whether it's better for them to work with one tutor or more.

Meet in a free taster session

Your child meets the tutor we think will suit them best and experiences a lesson together. It's a chance to see how they get on before you decide whether you'd like to continue.

Begin ongoing tutoring

If you'd like to continue after the taster, we'll get everything set up for your child to begin their ongoing weekly tutoring.

You know they are capable of more

Their confidence has started to dip

They second-guess their answers, avoid work they find difficult or have started to believe that a subject simply isn't for them.

Learning feels like a struggle

They may be finding particular topics difficult, falling behind in a subject or getting results that don't reflect the effort they're putting in.

They're ready to be pushed further

They may already be doing well but would benefit from greater challenge to keep progressing and aim even higher.

What science topics are covered in secondary school science

Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9): Biology – cells/tissues/organs, reproduction and puberty, photosynthesis and ecosystems, variation/classification/adaptation. Chemistry – particle model and states of matter, atoms/elements/compounds, chemical reactions and acids, the periodic table. Physics – energy transfer, forces and motion, magnetism and electricity, sound and light.

GCSE Combined Science (two GCSEs, reduced depth across all three sciences) – Biology covers cell biology/transport, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics/homeostasis, inheritance/evolution, ecology. Chemistry covers atomic structure/bonding, quantitative chemistry, chemical changes/electrolysis, energy changes, rates of reaction, Earth's atmosphere. Physics covers energy resources, electricity, particle model, atomic structure/radiation, forces/motion/waves.

GCSE Triple Science (three separate GCSEs, deeper coverage) – recommended for students considering science at A-level, with additional topics across Biology, Chemistry and Physics including genetics, organic chemistry, the Haber process, and space physics.

How we help our students succeed

Every student gets a tailored learning plan reflecting school curriculum, exam requirements and personal learning needs, identified through initial assessment of strengths, gaps and preferred learning style.

Making science engaging and easy to remember

Interactive whiteboards, quizzes and active recall games, diagrams and animations, and past paper questions with model answers — building both knowledge and exam resilience.

Each additional weekly session is £120 per month, and A-level tutoring adds £25 per month for each weekly A-level session. There is no minimum commitment, and sessions run year-round, including school holidays.

Consider hiring a maths tutor in Fleet

Maths underpins much of KS3 and GCSE science — calculating speed/distance/time in physics, balancing equations using ratios in chemistry, and interpreting graphs to determine reaction rates — areas where a maths tutor can provide invaluable additional support.

How do we choose our tutors?

Most tutors are undergraduate, masters or PhD students, many with teaching assistant or school experience, chosen for genuine subject passion and the ability to spark enthusiasm in students, alongside skills in lesson planning and pacing.
